re:CONNECT proposal

•    CONNECT the East Side to Downtown in a way that encourages
HUMAN INTERACTION, ECOLOGICAL AWARENESS and LOW CARBON FOOTPRINT.

•    TWO LEVELS - take your pick as to what kind of experience you want: A STROLL THROUGH NATURE or A STEAMING BOWL OF NOODLES?

•    OTHER EXISTING roads can be modified to re-route vehicle traffic. ECO-DUCT prioritizes PEDESTRIANS, CYCLISTS AND PUBLIC TRANSIT.  EAT and SHOP at the market stalls as you walk along or HELP GROW  FOOD up on the overpass!

•    Combine increased density with MORE USEABLE GREEN SPACE – a melding of New York City’s SKYLINE ELEVATED PARK and traditional ASIAN MARKET ARCADES…

•    URBAN MINI FARMS and ORCHARDS create MORE PARK SPACE and INCREASE FOOD SECURITY.
